Up with Stephanie !!

UNL student and Omaha North High alum Stephanie Wagle to
represent Nebraska in the internationally touring group Up With People!

Up With People is a show choir type show promoting peace/cultural diversity/and global awareness.
The group will travel for six months beginning in July 2009 across the United States, Mexico, and Scandanavia, performing and completing community service projects.

Stephanie, who is completing her sophomore year at UNL, will be taking a semester off to pursue this opportunity.
Stephanie was a four year member of North's show choir Explosion and participated in musicals and community service projects both in school and locally.

Although she has a visual disability known as Stargardt's disease, which destroys the central vision and has caused her vision to drop to the legally blind level this past year, causing her to no longer qualify for even a restricted driver's license, she refuses to allow it to interfere with her dream of making a difference in her world. This project will provide her with a chance to do just that. She will be fund raising throughout the next ten months to help cover the $14,000 price tag needed for her to tour with this group.
